France 1-1 England
England and France cancelled each other out last night in Donetsk, as Manchester City teammates Joleon Lescott and Samir Nasri scored for opposing sides in a gritty but fair 1-1 draw.
England were the better side in the beginning, and when James Milner rounded Hugo Lloris, the English nation were in edge-of-seat mode, but all they saw was Milner miss the target and hit the side netting, maybe through nerves.
On 30 minutes, Milner’s miss became no matter, as Steven Gerrard’s free-kick was expertly finished by Joleon Lescott with a thunderbolt header.
Nine minutes later, and Samir Nasri shot France level by squeezing a shot into Joe Hart’s near post from just outside the eighteen yard box.
The England team was getting troubled by France more in the second half, but did not concede nor score again, as the match ended 1-1, respectively.
